OLD ROUND ROCK CEMETERY

CLEAN-UP PROJECT

Round Rock Preservation partnered with the Round Rock Cemetery Association on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 9 a.m. to noon, to clean up the Old Round Rock Cemetery, located on Sam Bass Road (1/2 mile west of I-35). Frank Darr, chaired the project, along with Larry Quick (a member of RR Cemetery Association and RR Preservation).  Other  committee members were  Rae Lynn Tipping, Tina Seiner, & Ann Darr.

Forty-nine volunteers from the community and Round Rock Preservation helped accomplish this project.  The City of Round Rock  provided lawn maintenance tools from their Tool Lending Truck.  Volunteers were organized into several small groups to accomplish needed cleanup actions. Trucks with trailers hauled off the bush to the City's recycling center.

Volunteered signed up at SignUpGenius.com as a Round Rock Preservation Event.  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094aafad2da13-help.

The next tentative RR Cemetery Association project, if requested, will be held in the spring of 2018.
